Nature’s Ozempic? How myota can boost GLP-1 production

‘Miracle’ weight-loss drugs like Ozempic are all the rage these days. However, there are downsides - from the cost or lack of research on long-term effects. But what if we told you that prebiotic fibre can mimic these same biological effects, naturally?
Our Metabolic Booster is a comprehensive blend of 8 different prebiotic fibres. When you consume fibre, your gut bacteria produce important substances called SCFAs.  Along with many other functions, SCFAs help boost GLP-1 levels. Increased GLP-1 levels help regulate blood sugar, curb cravings, and reduce appetite.

My first experience using Myota has been excellent. The product arrived the next day after ordering, together with regular information on what to expect and how to use the product. I’m now in my third week of using Myota I am starting to notice the benefits.

It works. It is mixes with almost anything and is flavourless. I've recommended this to two of my friends and they have had the same positive response. I'm not religious but it is a miracle. Oh, and the clever chap behind it all, Thomas, is right good looking, which always helps with an initial purchase. 👍🚀

I credit Myota with helping my stomach problems and also my weight loss (although that wasn’t why I take it). I started on the gentlest one and then changed to metabolism powder.

How it works

  • Step 1

Start with half a scoop a day (5g) for 7 days. This gives your microbiome time to adjust to the increase in fibre. Our Metabolic Booster is flavourless and soluble. Just mix it into any of your favourite foods and drinks.
  • Step 2

Increase your intake to one scoop per day (10g). The beneficial bacteria in our gut will begin to ferment this unique and patented blend of eight prebiotic fibres, which in turn produces short-chain fatty acids that stimulate the production of GLP-1 hormones in your gut.
  • Step 3

You will experience reduced appetite and fewer cravings after just 30 days. For optimal results, you should take Myota for at least 3 months

Frequently asked
question

What is prebiotic fibre? (and why do I need it)

Prebiotic fibre is food for the trillions of beneficial bacteria that live in your gut. Like any living being, they need food to survive. According to NHS guidelines, this means eating 30g of fibre per day. But in a world of ultra-processed food, that's not very easy. In fact, the World Health Organisation says 90% of adults do not hit their daily target. Why does this matter? Because your gut bacteria play a big role in your physical and mental health. When they're well fed, they can help to lower blood sugar levels, support your immune system, reduce inflammation and even help you manage stress. At myota, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to keep your gut bugs happy. Each scoop of our blends contains 100% of your daily prebiotic needs, and 33% of your fibre intake.

What health benefits can I expect from myota?

After your very first scoop, your gut will begin to experience the benefits of prebiotics. However, our research shows that to fully benefit from myota, we recommend taking it daily for at least three months. After 3 months, 93% of people had more regular bowel movements, 80% felt less bloated, 80% had less diarrhoea, and 74% had less abdominal pain and cramping. But we’re more than just good digestion. Our clinical trials have also shown that myota can lower cholesterol levels, stabilise blood sugars, lower inflammation, and improve stress, anxiety and mood scores.

How do I take myota?

In short - however you like! Our original blends are all flavourless, and almost completely soluble. This means you can mix them into any of your favourite foods and drinks without changing the taste of texture. Some of our favourite ways to have our myota is in smoothies or yoghurt, in our morning tea or coffee or mixed into soups and sauces. You can even bake with it! The most important thing is to find a way that best suits your daily routine.

How quickly will I feel the benefits?

Everyone's gut microbiome is unique, so your experience with myota will be too. It is not uncommon to feel some benefits within the first few days, especially if you struggle with irregularity, cramps, and bloating. According to our data, over 90% of people notice an improvement in these symptoms within the first month. This is usually followed by improvements in energy levels, noticeable changes to mood and anxiety levels, and an easing in symptoms caused by inflammation. Don't just take our word for it though. Hear directly from existing customers here. We are so confident you'll feel the benefit, that we offer a 100%, 30 day money-back guarantee.

Why are prebiotics more effective than probiotics?

Probiotics are live bacteria, while prebiotics are the food (the fertiliser) for your existing gut bacteria. Even if probiotics reach your gut, they don't stick around for very long. This is because you already have a community of bacteria in place that are resistant to newcomers. If you stop taking a probiotic, in a couple of days it’ll be like you never took them in the first place. The issue is that we're not feeding our existing ones enough, so trying to add more in is not going to solve the problem. A more effective approach is to feed and nourish the existing bacteria in your gut, helping them to flourish and multiply. This will create a more long lasting and measurable change to your gut (and whole body) health. Most importantly, prebiotics also help your gut bugs to produce beneficial substances (called short-chain-fatty-acids ) which are essential for good mental & physical health. The science backs this up too, as there has never been a health claim approved for a probiotic supplement. There are 12 approved for prebiotic fibre.

Can children take myota?

Yes! myota provides benefits for all stages of life - for children who are fussy eaters, for those going through pregnancy, breastfeeding or menopause, or anyone who wants to optimise their health and longevity. For children under the age of 12, we recommend half a scoop (2-3g/day).
Can I take myota if I’m pregnant, breastfeeding or on my period?
Yes. Our fibre blends are safe during pregnancy, breastfeeding and your period. In fact, they can help with the constipation, bloating and diarrhoea that are often associated with women’s health.
What’s myota made from?
Fruits. Grains. Vegetables. We extract our fibres from a variety of sources and test them individually for their ability to produce SCFAs in the microbiomes of different people. The exact makeup depends on the blend you choose. All of our blends are certified gluten free and vegetarian. Our Gut Booster is also lactose free, vegan, and low FODMAP, and our Immunity Booster is lactose free and vegan.
What is myota free from*?
All of our fibre blends are 100% natural, non-GMO, preservative-free, gluten-free, and contain no colouring. The Gut Booster and Immunity Booster are also lactose-free and vegan (the Metabolic Booster contains traces of lactose). The Gut Booster is a low FODMAP certified product.
How does your 30 day money back guarantee work?

If you have purchased a 3-month pack, we will ask you to return your remaining un-opened blends for a full refund (shipping not included). For more details, head to our Terms and Conditions.
How do I purchase myota?
You can buy a one-off month’s supply, purchase a 3-month one-off pack, or try a rolling subscription where we send you a fresh pack every thirty days. You can pause or cancel your rolling subscription at any time.
What is myota's Gut Microbiome Test Kit?
Your gut is home to trillions of microorganisms including bacteria, fungi, viruses, and archaea, collectively known as the gut microbiome. You can think of your gut like a factory. In the same way that workers turn raw material into different products, our gut bacteria break-down foods to produce a number of different substances, including hormones, vitamins, antioxidants, and chemicals. There is a strong link between the substances produced by the gut microbiome and your overall health, from digestion and metabolic health, through to immunity and brain function. Given this link, you can begin to understand how testing your gut microbiome gives us important insights into your health. Based on the results from your gut microbiome test, you can make informed decisions to improve the diversity and restore balance in your gut. For example, some people have gut microbiome’s that can only produce short chain fatty acids (SCFAs - an important anti-inflammatory substance) from very specific types of fibre. Your report tells you which types of fibres are best for your gut bacteria to restore healthy levels of SCFAs.
