What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 1 July 2026.
1. What we collect
When you buy from us or get in touch we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number if you add one, and what you ordered. Payment card details are handled by our payment providers — we never see or store them.
- Account and order details you give us at checkout.
- Quiz answers, so we can recommend the right blend (stored against your email only if you ask us to send your result).
- Messages you send us, so we can answer them and improve our answers.
- Technical data — device, browser and pages visited — collected through cookies.
2. Why we use it
We use your data to take payment, deliver your order, manage your subscription, answer your questions, and — only if you've opted in — send you gut-health emails.
We'll also use anonymised, aggregated data to understand what's working on the site. That can't be traced back to you.
3. Our legal basis
We process your data to perform our contract with you (your order and subscription), on the basis of consent (marketing emails and non-essential cookies), and for our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, improving the site). You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We share only what's needed, with suppliers who process data on our behalf under contract:
- Shopify — our store and checkout platform.
- Loop — subscription management and My Account.
- Our payment providers, for taking payment securely.
- Our fulfilment and delivery partners, to get your parcel to you.
- Our email and analytics providers.
5. How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven years to meet UK tax and accounting rules. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. Support conversations are kept for two years. Anything else is deleted when we no longer need it.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or ask us to port it elsewhere. Email info@myotahealth.com and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
7. Children
Our site isn't aimed at under-16s and we don't knowingly collect their data. Our blends are suitable for children at a reduced serving, but the account holder must be an adult.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change we'll update the date at the top of this page, and email you where the change affects how we use data you've already given us.
