Metabolic Booster

Metabolic Booster

Clinically proven to support your heart and supercharge your energy
Reduce blood sugar spikes

Fibre slows down the digestion of food and absorption of carbohydrates. This leads to a more gradual release of sugar into your bloodstream, preventing rapid blood sugar spikes.

Lower cholesterol

Soluble fibre forms a gel that binds to cholesterol in your digestive system, helping to remove it from your body.

Boost SCFA production

Your gut bacteria produce short chain fatty acids (SCFA) when they break down the fibre you eat. It’s the only way your body can make them. SCFAs reduce inflammation and are essential for good physical and mental health.

Naturally boost GLP-1 production

Fibre increases the production of GLP-1, a hormone that helps control blood sugar levels and promotes feelings of fullness.

How does fibre produce GLP-1?

GLP-1 is a gut hormone that helps to suppress appetite and reduce food cravings. When you consume fibre, your gut bacteria produce important substances called SCFAs. Along with many other functions, SCFAs help boost GLP-1 levels, and are a natural solution to help regulate appetite and keep you feeling full for longer.

Start with half a scoop a day (5g) for 7 days, then gradually build up to a full scoop (10g) per day.

This gives your microbiome time to adjust to the increase in fibre. You might notice some changes to your digestion when you first get started. This should settle after a few days, but if not, just lower your dose until your gut is ready to build up again.

We recommend taking your myota at the same time each day to help your body get into a rhythm and make sure you stay hydrated.

As it's a flavourless powder, you can have it dissolved in water or in any of your favourite foods or hot or cold drinks. Whatever works best with your routine.

Wheat fibre

Wheat fibre comes from the cell walls of the wheat grain. It contains insoluble fibres (including arabinoxylans) that help create softer, bulkier stools to relieve constipation. The wheat fibre is suitable for those with coeliac disease (certified gluten-free).

Oat fibre

Oat fibre comes from the outer shell of the oat grain. Oat contains both soluble and insoluble fibres, helping to improve constipation, abdominal pain and bloating. Oats also contains beta-glucan, a powerhouse fibre with beneficial effects on blood cholesterol levels. Our oats are suitable for those with coeliac disease (certified gluten-free).

Fructooligosaccharides

Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) is a soluble prebiotic fibre derived from chicory root. It is highly fermentable by gut microbiota, resulting in large increases in butyrate and propionate (anti-inflammatory Short-Chain Fatty Acids). Butyrate helps to reduce inflammation in the gut and whole body, and strengthen the gut barrier lining.

Inulin

Inulin is a soluble prebiotic fibre derived from chicory root. It is highly fermentable by gut microbiota, resulting in large increases in butyrate (an anti-inflammatory Short-Chain Fatty Acid). Research supports a role of butyrate in glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity (e.g., how effective your body can lower blood glucose).

Resistant Starch

Resistant starch is a prebiotic fibre derived from maize. It is well-fermented by gut microbiota, resulting in the production of anti-inflammatory Short-Chain Fatty Acids. Through its role as a prebiotic, resistant dextrin has been shown to reduce inflammation and improve insulin sensitivity (e.g., how effective your body can lower blood glucose).

PHGG

Partially hydrolysed guar gum (PHGG) is a prebiotic fibre derived from guar beans. PHGG promotes the growth of beneficial gut bacteria without inducing bloating or gas. It is best known for its role in relieving constipation, diarrhoea, and bloating for those with sensitive tummies. Through its role in relieving gut symptoms and promoting Short-Chain Fatty Acids, PHGG has been linked to increased quality of life.

Guar Gum

Guar gum comes from the seed of the guar plant. It's a soluble and viscous (gel-forming) fibre that normalises the moisture content of stool, helping to absorb excess water in diarrhoea, and soften stools in constipation.

Galactooligosaccharides (GOS)

Galactooligosaccharides (GOS) is a soluble and fermentable fibre that comes from dairy, legumes, and some nuts. GOS contributes to a healthy gut microbiome by encouraging the growth of beneficial bacteria, including Bifidobacterium.

What our customers say

FAQs

If you have a question that isn’t answered in our FAQs then please get in touch with our customer service team.

What is prebiotic fibre? (and why do I need it)

Prebiotic fibre is food for the trillions of beneficial bacteria that live in your gut. Like any living being, they need food to survive. According to NHS guidelines, this means eating 30g of fibre per day.

But in a world of ultra-processed food, that's not very easy. In fact, the World Health Organisation says 90% of adults do not hit their daily target.

Why does this matter? Because your gut bacteria play a big role in your physical and mental health. When they're well fed, they can help to lower blood sugar levels, support your immune system, reduce inflammation and even help you manage stress.

At myota, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to keep your gut bugs happy. Each scoop of our blends contains 100% of your daily prebiotic needs, and 33% of your fibre intake.

What health benefits can I expect from myota?

After your very first scoop, your gut will begin to experience the benefits of prebiotics. However, our research shows that to fully benefit from myota, we recommend taking it daily for at least three months.

After 3 months, 93% of people had more regular bowel movements, 80% felt less bloated, 80% had less diarrhoea, and 74% had less abdominal pain and cramping.

But we’re more than just good digestion. Our clinical trials have also shown that myota can lower cholesterol levels, stabilise blood sugars, lower inflammation, and improve stress, anxiety and mood scores.

How quickly will I feel the benefits?

Everyone's gut microbiome is unique, so your experience with myota will be too. It is not uncommon to feel some benefits within the first few days, especially if you struggle with irregularity, cramps, and bloating. According to our data, over 90% of people notice an improvement in these symptoms within the first month. This is usually followed by improvements in energy levels, noticeable changes to mood and anxiety levels, and an easing in symptoms caused by inflammation.

Don't just take our word for it though. Hear directly from existing customers here.

We are so confident you'll feel the benefit, that we offer a 100%, 30 day money-back guarantee.

Which myota product is right for me?

If it's your first time taking a prebiotic, or you've been diagnosed with IBS, the Gut Booster is the best place to start. This is because it's designed to restore balance in your gut microbiome, laying the foundations of a healthy gut for the long term. As a guide, we recommend sticking with any blend for 3 months before switching.

If you're a prebiotic pro, or are looking to take the next step on your gut health journey, then the Metabolic and Immunity blends are for you. These blends are specifically formulated to maximise the whole-body health benefits of prebiotic fibre. So whatever your health goals, there is a myota for you.

If you have any specific questions about our products, please reach out to us directly at info@myotahealth.com or ask us a question in the chat function.

Why are prebiotics more effective than probiotics?

Probiotics are live bacteria, while prebiotics are the food (the fertiliser) for your existing gut bacteria. Even if probiotics reach your gut, they don't stick around for very long.

This is because you already have a community of bacteria in place that are resistant to newcomers. If you stop taking a probiotic, in a couple of days it’ll be like you never took them in the first place. The issue is that we're not feeding our existing ones enough, so trying to add more in is not going to solve the problem.

A more effective approach is to feed and nourish the existing bacteria in your gut, helping them to flourish and multiply. This will create a more long lasting and measurable change to your gut (and whole body) health. Most importantly, prebiotics also help your gut bugs to produce beneficial substances (called short-chain-fatty-acids ) which are essential for good mental & physical health.

The science backs this up too, as there has never been a health claim approved for a probiotic supplement. There are 12 approved for prebiotic fibre.

How do I take myota?

In short - however you like! Our original blends are all flavourless, and almost completely soluble. This means you can mix them into any of your favourite foods and drinks without changing the taste of texture. Some of our favourite ways to have our myota is in smoothies or yoghurt, in our morning tea or coffee or mixed into soups and sauces. You can even bake with it!

The most important thing is to find a way that best suits your daily routine.

Can children take myota?

Yes! myota provides benefits for all stages of life - for children who are fussy eaters, for those going through pregnancy, breastfeeding or menopause, or anyone who wants to optimise their health and longevity. For children under the age of 12, we recommend half a scoop (2-3g/day).

Where can I read more about your clinical trials?

Research is an essential part of what we do. We put our prebiotic blends through rigorous testing and clinical trials in collaboration with leading academic institutions and the NHS. You can read more about our clinical trials and the results on the Our Science page.

What is myota free from*?

All of our fibre blends are 100% natural, non-GMO, preservative-free, gluten-free, and contain no colouring. The Gut Booster and Immunity Booster are also lactose-free and vegan (the Metabolic Booster contains traces of lactose). The Gut Booster is a low FODMAP certified product.

How does your 30 day money back guarantee work?

We’re confident that you’re going to love our blends. But if you’ve decided myota isn’t right for you, let us know within 30 days of your purchase and we’ll refund you the full purchase. If you have purchased a 3-month pack, we will ask you to return your remaining un-opened blends for a full refund (shipping not included). For more details, head to our Terms and Conditions.
